Iggy Pop & Josh Homme Announce Post-Pop Depression Tour
Just last week, we learned that Iggy Pop had gotten together with Queens Of The Stone Age frontman Josh Homme, recording a whole collaborative album in secret. That album is called Post Pop Depression, and it’ll be out in March; we’ve already posted the early tracks “Gardenia” and “Break Into Your Heart.” And now we know that Pop and Homme will spend spring on the road together. They’re touring North America and Europe, playing in specially-selected venues and favoring ornate old seated theaters. The touring band includes Queens Of The Stone Age/Dead Weather guitarist/keyboardist Dean Fertita and Arctic Monkeys drummer Matt Helders, the only other musicians who play on the album. And on the tour, they’ll have a couple of other great musicians up there: Chavez frontman and traveling guitar-slinger Matt Sweeney and QOTSA multi-instrumentalist Troy Van Leeuwen. Check out the dates below.
