theMIND – “Mercury Rising” (Feat. Donnie Trumpet & Sylvie Grace)

The artist known as theMIND is a member of Chicago's THEMpeople collective. On the drowsy space-R&B floater "Mercury Rising," he's assisted by Donnie Trumpet and Sylvie Grace -- and although the production here is the standout, theMIND leaves a positive impression too. "Whoever said the sky was the limit wasn't living where I was living" goes the chorus. It's a promising track that will, if nothing else, hold you over until Frank Ocean's album finally drops.
