The Raveonettes – “This World Is Empty (Without You)”
Danish narco-rock duo the Raveonettes released a surprise album called Pe’ahi last year, and they’re also planning on giving us an album’s worth of songs this year. But rather than release the LP all at once, the duo are instead planning on dropping a new song every month in what they’re calling the Rave-Sound-Of-The-Month series. (I don’t know why they’re using all those hyphens, but they are.) The first song in the series is a glistening, humming synthpop jam called “This World Is Empty Without You.” It’s not a Supremes cover, though it definitely takes inspiration from that group’s “My World Is Empty Without You.” Check out the lyric video below.
Keep up with the Rave-Sound-Of-The-Month series at the duo’s website.
