Rihanna’s ANTI Hits #1 In Week 2
Releasing ANTI via a million free TIDAL downloads may have been enough for Rihanna to weasel her way into a platinum record certification, but the release strategy didn’t count towards Billboard’s album charts. Last week, ANTI only scored 460 sales in the United States, making for the lowest chart debut of the pop star’s career. Don’t fear, though, because she’s rebounded in the second week: ANTI made its way up to No. 1 this week with 124,000 copies sold and 14.2 million streams according to Nielsen (via The New York Times), leaving Rihanna’s legacy as a consistent charts presence intact.
