PBS celebrity ancestry show Finding Your Roots, the same one responsible for Ben Affleck's freakout over finding out his ancestors once owned slaves, has another revelation to share: LL Cool J -- who will appear on an episode of the show next week following his Grammys hosting stint -- found out that his mother was adopted through the show.
LL Cool J was raised by his maternal grandparents, who elected not to tell him that his mother was not their biological child. "This doesn't change how I feel about the people that raised me," LL Cool J told the Associated Press. "I have more love and respect for them than I ever did."
The episode of Finding Your Roots, which also traces Sean "Diddy" Combs' ancestry, will air next Tuesday on PBS.
