LCD Soundsystem Sign To Columbia
This is happening! LCD Soundsystem have a tour coming up and an album in the works, and now the band have inked a deal with Columbia Records, Billboard reports. Label chairman Rob Stringer announced the news during a red carpet interview at Billboard’s Power 100 event last night. The details of said deal aren’t clear yet, but presumably the band is still signed to James Murphy’s DFA Records, and this is like when DFA put out 2007’s Sound Of Silver through Capitol and 2010’s This Is Happening through Virgin. I guess we’ll find out soon enough!
