The 1975 – “Somebody Else”
The 1975 try out so many genres on their new album I Like It When You Sleep, For You Are So Beautiful Yet So Unaware Of It that sometimes they barely even sound like the same band from track to track. “Somebody Else,” the album’s latest pre-release single, is their attempt at chillwave, and no I’m not kidding. They do pretty well with it too, though admittedly Scrubbed Up Washed Out it’s not my favorite flavor in this band’s Baskin Robbins assortment. Listen below along with some Zane Lowe chatter with 1975 frontman Matthew Healy.
I Like It When You Sleep, For You Are So Beautiful Yet So Unaware Of It is out 2/26 on Interscope/Dirty Hit.
