Since Sonic Youth broke up in 2011, Kim Gordon has stayed busy, playing in the improv-noise duo Body/Head and publishing her memoir Girl In A Band. And now she's got a new band. Pitchfork reports that Gordon is half of a new duo called Glitterbust. She's playing alongside Alex Knost, of Californian lo-fi experimenters Tomorrows Tulips, and they'll release Glitterbust's self-titled debut next month. It's a double album with only five songs, so expect those songs to be long. The first thing we've heard is "The Highline," a tingling, feedback-heavy nine-minute space-rock jam with no percussion whatsoever. Listen to it and check out the album's tracklist below.
