Hum Writing First New Music In 18 Years
Although Illinois space-rock heroes Hum haven’t released any new music since 1998’s Downward Is Heavenward, they’ve continued to perform together sporadically since their official dissolution in 2000. But their latest reunion, which kicked off last year with a performance at SXSW and two co-headlining tours with fellow ’90s acts Failure and Mineral, might be the real deal — as Substream Magazine reports, Hum guitarist Tim Lash has confirmed that the band are working on some new music. “We’ve been busy writing and hope to have some new stuff to share soon,” Lash wrote in a Facebook post earlier today. “We hope to have some new music to share in the near future.” So nothing concrete, but still, pretty exciting news!
