Xiu Xiu Announces Twin Peaks Covers Album

With the Twin Peaks reboot on the gloomy horizon, Xiu Xiu has decided to cover portions of Angelo Badalamenti's iconic score as part of a new full-length project they're calling Plays The Music Of Twin Peaks. It will be released in conjunction with Record Store Day. The compositions were originally created as part of an Australian art exhibit called David Lynch: Between Two Worlds that Xiu Xiu were asked to participate in. You can listen to "Falling," their noisy reinterpretation of the show's theme music, via Pitchfork below.
