Last year, Doldrums, the Canadian experimental pop producer and Grimes collaborator, moved into the big-indie ranks, releasing his album The Air-Conditioned Nightmare on Sub Pop. And he’s just shared a brand-new out-of-nowhere track called “Gerbil,” a frantic instrumental that builds a kind of dance track out of anxious pings. We don’t yet know whether it’s a one-off song or a sign of more new music to come, but either way, you can hear it below.
