Axel Willner, the Swedish producer who records as the Field, is a master of sparse, architectural minimal techno. His tracks build slowly, a piece at a time, maintaining a groove and an atmosphere throughout. Nobody sounds like him. And later this week, he’ll follow up his 2013 album Cupid’s Head with the new one The Follower, an album just as concerned with beauty and patience.
