"Priestess," the single that put Pumarosa on the map, slowly built from ominous drones to pulsating rhythms to swirling sonic chaos. The London quintet's second single "Cecile" is more of a U shape: It begins with frantic rock action, settles into a danceable groove, and nearly scrapes all of its excess noise away before expanding back into a flurry of surging bass, saxophone blurts, and machine-gun snares. This crew definitely has their sound figured out, and it's a wonder to behold. Listen below.
