Animal Collective came back earlier this year with the antic, colorful new album Painting With. And during the same sessions that produced the albums, they also recorded a few tracks that didn't make the cut. Two of those songs, "Gnip Gnop" and "Hounds Of Bairro," appear on a new 7" single from the group. "Gnip Gnop" is a melodically dizzy harmonic spazz-out, while "Hounds Of Bairro" is a dubbier, groovier track that still finds plenty of room to fling the band members' voices all over the place. The 7" has been out for a few weeks, but it's only now streaming. If you've got Spotify, you can hear both songs below.
