Dreamcrusher – “Codeine Eyes” Video
Brooklyn-based genderqueer/non-binary noise artist Dreamcrusher has released a video for their song “Codeine Eyes” off their recent EP Quid Pro Quo. While the song itself is bursting with industrial noise, the video finds Luywayne Glass, the voice behind Dreamcrusher, alone in a barren wood. Up-close shots of eerie branches and fallen leaves create a compelling juxtaposition comparing a solitary scene with loud, artfully chaotic noise, illustrating Dreamcrusher’s escape from the outside world. But they cannot completely escape reality; rage boils inside of them because even outside the confines of society, it has this sort of destructive hold on us. The video for “Codeine Eyes” premiered on The Fader earlier today. Watch it below.
