Composer and multireedist Colin Stetson has set out to reimagine Gorecki's masterpiece 3rd symphony on his new album, SORROW. We've heard about 20 gorgeous minutes of the 52-minute opus up to this point, as Stetson has already offered four extracts, but today the entire beautiful thing is streaming courtesy of WNYC. Stetson's infusion of ambient, atmospheric soundscapes with Gorecki's lush, classical flourishes is a marvel to hear. Stream SORROW below.
