Warner Music set up a Twitter account for the Smiths yesterday and a lot of people flipped the fuck out thinking that their all-time fave band would be reuniting. The account is verified, but it’s going to be used to “celebrate the history and music of the Smiths” rather than promote new material:

Unsurprisingly, Morrissey (who doesn’t have Twitter) thinks that the Smiths’ new web presence is stupid. He posted the following today on the fan webzine True To You:
