Grizzly Bear To Begin Recording New Album Next Month
Get ready for some delicately layered harmonies! Yesterday, we learned that the full Grizzly Bear lineup would play its first show in some time at a Bernie Sanders rally in Brooklyn this weekend. And as it turns off, that show won’t be a one-off. In a series of tweets last night, the band announced that they are just about ready to get going on a new album, their first since 2012’s Shields. They also passionately endorsed Bernie Sanders and announced that drummer Chris Bear is now a father. Here’s what Grizzly Bear had to say:
1: Chris Bear had a beautiful baby 2: We are starting to record the new album next month with tons of songs! 3: we playing a Bernie Rally

If they’re just about to start recording, there’s a good chance we won’t get to hear the new album until next year. But still, things are in motion. And who knows; maybe they’ll play a new song or two at the Sanders rally this weekend.
