Tamaryn – “Sugarfix” Video
Dream pop merchant Tamaryn had an excellent effort last fall in Cranekiss, her third full-length. Her sound is shimmering, airy and unearthly, and she’s displayed a penchant for provocative visuals with the exquisite clip for the album’s title track. Today, she’s given the visual treatment to “Sugarfix,” another standout track. The self-directed clip is an alluring mix of CGI, clever overlays, playful mood lighting, and classic wind-blown hair shots as she looks seductively into the camera. The images amount to a huge dream sequence that accentuates the delicate quality of her sound. A loose narrative involving a soothing drive unfolds, but the clip, just like her music, is more a beautiful translation of mood. Watch.
Cranekiss is out now on Mexican Summer.
