Watch A Teaser For Beyoncé’s “Lemonade” Project Coming To HBO Next Week
After dropping her massively successful (and stupidly controversial) “Formation” video a few months ago, Beyoncé is now teasing something called “Lemonade.” It looks like another new single/music video, but some fans and publications are speculating that the “Lemonade” project is actually a new “album film.” Either way, whatever it is, it’s premiering on HBO next Saturday, 4/23 at 9PM ET. The teaser just shows Beyonce leaning against a car, slowly raising her head while an ominous humming sound builds, concluding with her whispering, “What am I gonna do, love? What am I gonna do?” Watch below.
UPDATE: Here’s an extended version…
Beyoncé’s Formation World Tour kicks off 4/27 in Miami.
UPDATE 2: USA Today reports that Lemonade will be a “docu-style special” similar to Beyoncé’s 2014 HBO special Life Is But A Dream. That doesn’t rule out the existence of a new “album film,” but apparently this isn’t it.
In other Beyoncé news, DJ Khaled has been announced as the opening act for her Formation World Tour.
UPDATE 3: Lemonade is streaming now, and it is very much not a “docu-style special.”
