People always say that love makes you crazy, but they rarely say that it makes you dumb. Sometimes, that new special person you’re infatuated with doesn’t really deserve any of your affection, and makes you feel like a big ‘ole dummy when they reject your advances or “forget” to call you back. Lisa Prank’s Robin Edwards confronts that reality on her new single “Luv Is Dumb” by admitting to being too obsessive (“I’m checking your horoscope/ Trying to remember the things you said”) too soon. “It’s way too soon/ But all I do is swoon,” she sings. “‘Cause love is making me dumb/ Your love is making me dumb.” Lisa Prank’s new LP Adult Teen is due out in June, and this single follows “Starting Again” which we heard back in March.
