Little Scream – “Dark Dance”
Montreal pop wanderer Little Scream got a whole battalion of indie rock boldfaced names to help out on her new album Cult Following: Sufjan Stevens! Sharon Van Etten! Members of the National and TV On The Radio! And even beyond all those names, Laurel Sprengelmeyer writes songs that go off on interesting paths all their own. We’ve posted her songs “Love As A Weapon,” “Someone Will Notice,” and “The Kissing.” Today, she’s shared a jittery, broken pop tune called “Dark Dance,” which sounds a bit like Florence + The Machine if Florence Welch was a home-recording bedroom-pop tinkerer. Check it out below.
Cult Following is out 5/6 on Merge (and, in Canada, Dine Alone).
