Aesop Rock – “Lazy Eye” Video
Veteran rhyme-slinger Aesop Rock is coming down the home stretch for the release of his latest full-length, The Impossible Kid. He’s shared “Rings” and “Blood Sandwich” and given them both the visual treatment along with some animated therapy sessions with a cartoon bear.
Today, he drops “Lazy Eye,” another track complete with visuals. A bouncy beat with a woozy bassline serves as the platter for Aes to serve up some signature complex rhymes. The Rob Shaw-directed clip finds Aes wandering through oddities and trinkets housed in the Pecularium in Portland as he delivers his bars. It’s the perfect backdrop for the rapper’s obscure, complicated similes and cultural references. Friends DJ Zone and Onry Ozzborn also have quick cameos. Check it out.
The Impossible Kid is out 4/29 via Rhymesayers. Pre-order it here.
