Deerhoof – “Plastic Thrills”
Yesterday, Deerhoof shared a new video/song for “Debut” with little context outside of an eager and over-the-top introduction: “Right now I’m scared because of Deerhoof!!!!!!!!!!!,” it read in part. Now, the one-time Bay Area band (who now lives all over the country) have detailed their new album, the follow-up to 2014’s La Isla Bonita. It’s called The Magic and contains “Debut” plus another new track, “Plastic Thrills,” and was recorded in the New Mexico desert over a week’s time. Listen to “Plastic Thrills” via NPR below.
