A$AP Ferg – “FLEM” Video
Stereogum’s March cover story star A$AP Ferg has made one hell of a push behind the release of his new album, Always Strive And Prosper, and rightly so, because it’s really good — even Kanye thinks so. Ferg has unleashed a slew of singles and videos with some big-name features including: the Missy Elliott-assisted “Strive,” “Hungry Ham,” Big Sean collab “World Is Mine,” ScHoolboy Q collab “Let It Bang,” and Future-assisted “New Level.”
Ferg sneaks in one last loosie before the album drops tomorrow, the Kirk Knight-produced “FLEM.” Sounding a bit more nasally than usual due to a cold, Fergivicious touches on everything from his Kanye endorsement to being invited to Coachella for the third year in a row, and how he’s learned from A$AP Yams’ untimely death. Knight’s beat is some cleverly updated boom bap, and it’s the perfect backdrop for the Harlem rep to spit any and everything that comes to mind. The video offers simple studio visuals shot by Artru Group, but Ferg and Knight vibing are the perfect complement to the simplicity and candidness of the track. Watch.
Always Strive And Prosper is out 4/22 on RCA.
