Watch Pearl Jam Cover Doobie Brothers By Request In NYC

Pearl Jam played the first of two nights at Madison Square Garden last night on their current tour and, during the show's encore, they performed some of the Doobie Brothers' "Takin' It To The Streets" off their 1976 album of the same name. Eddie Vedder introduced the cover by explaining that it was the birthday of a long-time friend who had once said that he wasn't as good of a singer as Michael McDonald. Watch below.
