Modern Baseball – “Wedding Singer” Video

Modern Baseball - "The Wedding Singer" Video

Modern Baseball are releasing their third album, Holy Ghost, next week, and so far we've heard two singles from it, the one-two punch of "Apple Cider, I Don't Mind" and "Everyday." Today, they're sharing a third, "Wedding Singer," along with an ambitious new video directed by Kyle Thrash, who has also been behind the rest of the band's visuals. The song itself is, in part, about Jake Ewald trying to make sense of his emotions following his grandfather's death, and appropriately enough the video starts off at a funeral before our protagonist (Vincent Sandvoort) is picked up a pink-haired manic pixie dream girl (groan) (Franny Anderson) and whisked around town in all-too-youthful and destructive fashion. The band makes an appearance as an Inside Out-esque manifestation of the lead character's brain, and quickly get shut down for being too chaotic. Watch and listen below.
