Neil Young debuted his upcoming live album EARTH at the Natural History Museum Of Los Angeles County last night. The listening party began with a brief introduction from Young himself -- "As John Lennon would say, 'Turn off your mind, relax, and float downstream'" -- after which the album played in its entirety in high definition Pono audio in the museum's outdoor Nature Gardens. The LP, which was recorded during Young's 2015 tour with Promise Of The Real as his backing band, also includes nature sounds in the mix, so a natural history museum seems like a fitting backdrop for its premiere.
