Watch Billy Corgan Cover The Velvet Underground At His Chicago Teahouse
The Smashing Pumpkins just wrapped up quite an eventful tour. The acoustic In Plainsong shows featured the return of founding guitarist James Iha, a stagecrasher, the debut of a new Smashing Pumpkins song, and covers of Hole, ZZ Top, and Prince. And it appears that In Plainsong isn’t completely over: Yesterday, Billy Corgan and his Smashing Pumpkins bandmate Jeff Schroeder performed another intimate acoustic show at Corgan’s Chicago teahouse Madame ZuZu’s, where they played a few covers including the Velvet Underground’s “Who Loves The Sun” and Bob Dylan’s “Knockin’ On Heaven’s Door.” Watch below.
