Chance The Rapper’s Mysterious Magnificent Coloring World Event Sounds Like A Rap Willy Wonka & The Chocolate Factory
After the release of his third mixtape, Coloring Book, Chance The Rapper announced a mysterious event called Magnificent Coloring World that was set to happen in his hometown of Chicago. It went down today and, as Pitchfork and The Chicago Tribune report, attendees were picked up by bus and taken to a warehouse where they were treated to what sounds like a Chance The Rapper carnival, with all the unabashed energy of something like Willy Wonka & The Chocolate Factory: There were dancers, art, a choir. new merch. Chance was on-site but did not perform, at least not yet — the event is scheduled to go on until 8PM local time. Check out some social media posts from the event below.
