Public Enemy – “Honky Talk Rules” Video
Recently, Chuck D has been busy with Prophets Of Rage, his new supergroup with members of Rage Against The Machine and Cypress Hill. But now Public Enemy are back with a new video for “Honky Talk Rules,” one of the tracks from last summer’s Man Plans God Laughs. The song, which is based around a sample of the Rolling Stones’ “Honky Tonk Woman,” was meant to be included on 1990’s Fear Of A Black Planet, but ended up being cut due to clearance issues, as Entertainment Weekly reports. The video features Chuck D performing in a cowboy outfit intercut with footage of white world leaders’ faces on currency, ending on a hopeful note with a shot of the new Harriet Tubman $20 bill.
