One great thing about the rise of throwbacky outlaw-country badass Chris Stapleton: We are guaranteed at least one great performance at every country music awards show. Stapleton didn't really become a star until he performed with Justin Timberlake at last year's CMAs. And last night, he did it on his own, delivering a big, hellacious version of "Parachute," a song from his 2015 album Traveler, at the CMT Awards. Stapleton's voice is such a vast, grimy thing, and it's cool to see him, once again, getting to show it off on such a big stage. Watch the performance below.
