Meat Loaf Hospitalized After Collapsing On Stage In Edmonton
Michael Lee Aday, better known as rocker Meat Loaf, collapsed onstage during a show at the Northern Alberta Jubiliee Auditorium in Edmonton last night. According to CBC, the singer was in the middle of his hit “I’d Do Anything For Love (But I Won’t Do That)” when he dropped the microphone, fell to the ground, and rolled on his back. Band and crew members rushed to attend to him onstage. Then the Edmonton Fire Department initially responded and evacuated the building before the Alberta Health Service took over. The AHS has reported that Meat Loaf is in stable condition. The 68-year-old theatrical actor and singer had cancelled shows in Calgary and Moose Jaw due to illness earlier this week. Previously he fainted during a show in London in 2003 and a performance in 2011 in Pittsburgh. Watch footage of the incident below.
