Verbatim my last Trip Advisor review.

I love that Kim and Kanye still haven’t figured out that Taylor will never lose to them. Because for all of their social media savvy and public manipulation neither of them lack the key ingredient to beat her. Simply put, they aren’t evil.

So Rihanna is better than Bowie this year. Ok.

I think his point is that even great singers like Adele are Melodyned and otherwise polished to inhuman perfection by producer/mixers. Normal human performances aren’t allowed on records anymore. He probably needed to add some detail and clarity to what he said in order to sound less like a dick about it.

I teared up a little, not gonna lie. It’s strange how tragedies can pull things into focus. I’m not usually the “out, loud, and proud” type (commenting on an internet indie music site, you don’t say) but today’s news, people’s responses, pride month, and a whole host of personal stuff are all kind of coming together for me right now. Came out 5 years ago, and although I’m not really gay, (turns out I’m actually transgender instead, here’s to opening cans of worms) I think I am ready to stop shrinking away from this community. This shit’s important, and I’m honestly proud of everyone’s strength of character to live as themselves. It’s certainly not easy.

Basically: thanks for the words Ed and I agree completely.
