Ticketmaster May Have Free Tickets For You Right Now
Ticketmaster just settled a $400 million class action lawsuit over their “deceptive” and “excessive” fees, and they’re paying it out in the form of discount codes and vouchers. What that means, as Gawker points out, is that if you bought tickets from Ticketmaster any time between 1999 and 2013, you can probably go see a show or two for free. (Well, not exactly for free, because you already paid those exorbitant fees, but whatever, just think of it as free.) There are a few caveats: the free tickets are only available for events at Live Nation-operated venues and only for eligible events chosen by Live Nation. The list of eligible events is reportedly still being finalized, but it will eventually be available here. You can find the vouchers here, or by logging into your Ticketmaster account and clicking on “Active Vouchers” under “Your Account.”
