Watch The Trailer For Ron Howard’s Beatles Documentary Eight Days A Week: The Touring Years
The early years of Beatlemania have already been chronicled to death, but it’s still fun to think about this band coming out of nowhere, conjuring hordes of screaming teenagers out of thin air, and playing stadium shows when that meant a stage set up in the middle of a baseball diamond while fans were all in the stands. In a new documentary, Apollo 13/Willow director Ron Howard, who was a child actor on The Andy Griffith Show during those initial Beatlemania years, chronicles those early years. Howard made the movie in cooperation with the surviving Beatles and with the widows of John Lennon and George Harrison, and it’ll be streaming on Hulu this fall. Check out a trailer below.
The Beatles: Eight Days A Week: The Touring Years is out in theaters 9/16, and it’ll be streaming on Hulu a day later.
