Sigur Rós – “Óveður” Video
Since 5PM yesterday afternoon, Sigur Rós have been streaming an abstract form of their first new music since 2013’s Kveikur album. An endless, constantly evolving version of “Óveður,” which the band debuted at Primavera Sound last month, has soundtracked the live broadcast of a 1,332-km journey around Iceland’s coastal ring road. It turns out that drive was leading somewhere besides back to the beginning: The band just shared the official recording of “Óveður” along with a set of visuals from Swedish director Jonas Åkerlund, shot in the small town of Grindavík on Iceland’s beautiful Reykjanes peninsular.
