Bill Simmons is the polarizing, cultishly beloved writer and podcaster who founded Grantland and the 30 For 30 documentary series during his tenure with ESPN. After his acrimonious departure from the Worldwide Leader In Sports, Simmons linked up with HBO, launching a new podcast network, a site called The Ringer, and his own weekly talk show called Any Given Wednesday. The show's debut episode aired this week -- maybe you heard about Ben Affleck's insane Deflategate rant -- and it turns out the opening theme music is by Okkervil River's Will Sheff.
