It's been less than a couple months since UK Grime purveyor Skepta dropped the excellent Konnichiwa, and he's already back with new music. This time around he recruits ILoveMakonnen and Céon for a bouncy, celebratory joint called "Coming Soon" via The FADER. The aesthetic is clearly Makonnen-influenced with the slinky, shimmering, ice cream truck-like beat, and Skepta sounds just as great over snappy ATL trap as he does over dirty Grime aesthetics. He spits in a celebratory tone about all the things he covets and brags about how he won't desire them for long because he works hard for it. It's a much deserved victory lap for carrying a genre on his back on a transatlantic journey to the States. Céon handles hook duties on this super catchy, lighthearted jaunt. Listen.
