Boxed In – “Jist” Video
London quartet Boxed In are gearing up to drop their sophomore LP, Melt, later this fall. They dropped the lead single “Jist” a couple weeks ago, and today they’ve given the electro frenzy a visual accompaniment. It’s a trippy ’80s throwback with crude effects surrounding an older man who’s bewildered by the things happening around him. The images cleverly and subtly communicate how we often “just don’t get the jist of it” when we preoccupy ourselves with such a small, selfish view of world. There’s lots of literal and figurative zooming in and out for different perspectives capturing the “bigger picture” and the monotony of everyday minutia. Watch the Wayne McCauslin-directed clip below.
Melt is out 9/23 via Nettwerk Records.
