Soft Fangs – “The Wilderness” Video
Soft Fangs — the Band To Watch and songwriting project of New York-based musician John Lutkevich — put out their debut album, The Light, earlier this year. We highlighted a number of tracks from it, including “The Air,” “Birthday,” “The Light,” and “The Wilderness.” The latter track now has a video to go along with it, which was directed by Jenny Tuite (of Dirty Dishes) and shot on and around a beach in Maine, aimlessly following around Lutkevich as he meanders around, lights sparklers at night, and explores the sights.
“When you’re a kid, you conjure up all sorts of imaginary things, purely because you’ve got nothing better to do,” he explains. “From aimlessness, something is created. I wanted to explore that, so we went to the beach with nothing planned & I dressed like a figment of my imagination. At the end of the day, we had a music video, and that seemed purposeful enough.” Watch it via GoldFlakePaint below.
