Fraternal Twin – “False Alarm”
Last year, Tom Christie released his debut album as Fraternal Twin, Skin Gets Hot, a warm and richly personal album that grew out of New Jersey-based musician’s early solo recordings. That album caught the attention of Ghost Ramp, who reissued it earlier this year and are putting out its follow-up, the insularly-titled Homeworlding. “False Alarm,” the album’s lead single, is a washed-out daydream that starts off with imagery of supernaturally placid foamy waves and goes on to mutedly contemplate our existence in relation to others. “There are always gonna be false alarms,” Christie sings comfortingly. “But they are something you can count on.” Listen below.
