George Harrison Estate Addresses RNC’s Use Of “Here Comes The Sun” To Introduce Ivanka Trump
Last night, as part of the terrifying procession of national disgraces and absurdities that was this year’s Republican National Convention, Donald Trump’s daughter Ivanka walked on stage to the sound of the Beatles’ “Here Comes The Sun.” Get this: George Harrison’s estate doesn’t approve! “The unauthorized use of #HereComestheSun at the #RNCinCLE is offensive & against the wishes of the George Harrison estate,” tweeted Harrison’s official account last night. Humorously, the estate added this: “If it had been Beware of Darkness, then we MAY have approved it! #TrumpYourself”

“You Can’t Always Get What You Want” was also played at the convention despite the Rolling Stones’ previous request that Trump not use their music. Sad!
UPDATE: The Stones officially do not approve.
The Rolling Stones do not endorse Donald Trump. You Can't Always Get What You Want was used without the band's permission.
