Disrespectful Fans Kicked Out Of Slayer, Slipknot Shows
The last couple of days have seen a few metal fans getting kicked out of shows, with Slayer and Slipknot both asking — well, more yelling at and forcing — fans to leave. Reasons for ejection have varied, but here’s an idea of what happened:
During an intimate show at San Diego’s House Of Blues as part of this past weekend’s Comic-Con, an audience member seems to have reeled back and spit on Slayer bassist and frontman Tom Araya. Araya delayed the start of the show to ask the spitter for an explanation as the crowd began to boo and the fan was escorted from the venue. Check out video of the spit-cident below, with Araya’s inquisition beginning round 1:45.
Similarly, while it’s not clear exactly what went down, Slipknot frontman Corey Taylor had a fan removed during the band’s show July 19 in Toronto. Taylor had some choice words for the fan, calling him a “pussy” and a “bitch” and waving goodbye while security dragged him out. Check out video below.
It should go without saying, but here’s a reminder: be good at gigs. Don’t spit or catch Pokémon — especially when you’re standing next to the barrier at a Beyoncé show.
