Destroyer’s Dan Bejar Promises New Songs On Fall Tour
The last two Destroyer albums have been immersive experiences of yacht rock and baroque pop, and both were unquestionably excellent. Yet it seems Dan Bejar is dialing down his sound a bit for his next project and has announced a solo tour that will feature no more than him and his guitar for an evening of predominantly new material. According to the press release: “Think fewer jazz sax-soaked orchestral ballads and more troubadourial fare with guitar and vintage Japanese pedals. Fans will be treated to an exclusive preview of at least ten new guitar-based tracks and some really excellent hair.” This seems like the precursor to a new Destroyer album, and it’s exciting to hear he’s exploring a new sound. Check out the tour dates below.
