Mac Miller – “Dang!” (Feat. Anderson .Paak)
Mac Miller is rap game Jimmy Butler. If I had the opportunity to hand out a Most Improved award, last year’s would have gone to the artist formerly known as “EZ Mac with the cheesy raps.” GOOD:AM was a solid effort and light years ahead of his buzz catalysts. He’s had to cancel a couple performances recently due to health issues, but being the studio rat he’s nicely developed into, he’s ready to drop the full-length followup The Feminine Divine around the fall equinox. The first taste of feminine divinity comes in the form of the Anderson .Paak-assisted “Dang!” Mac comes with plenty of clever wordplay about trying to hold onto his lady as Paak rides a silky funk groove with his baby-bottom-smooth rasp. They’ve got a nice little summer breeze going on this joint. Listen.
