Beach Slang are good at covering songs. Last year, the Philly-based band released their rendition of Dramarama’s “Anything, Anything” and a few weeks ago they graced fans in Brooklyn with a rendition of the Replacements’ “Can’t Hardly Wait.” Frontman James Alex stayed up late one night recording a cover of Liz Phair’s very, very good song “Chopsticks” off of 1994’s Whip-Smart. He posted it on YouTube with the following caption:

Most nights, I skip sleep.
On the really great ones, I stay awake bashing together cheap beer, home recordings, Liz Phair and 1970s anti-drinking PSAs.
Last night, yeah, that was alright.
