Ozzy Osbourne Releases Statement About His Sex Addiction
When Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne separated in May, she claimed that their 34-year-old marriage was too strained after her husband cheated on her with his hair stylist Michelle Pugh. But now, to combat Pugh’s new People interview about her “very real relationship” and “old-fashioned romance” with the rock star, Ozzy is seeking to clarify what transpired. His rep tells People that his affair was driven by sex addiction, which he’s now in therapy for:
He is sorry if Ms. Pugh took their sexual relationship out of context… He would like to apologize to the other women he has been having sexual relationships with. Out of the bad comes good. Since his relationship with Ms. Pugh was exposed, Ozzy has gone into intense therapy… Ozzy is mortified at what his behavior has done to his family. He thanks God that his incredible wife Sharon is at his side to support him.
Sharon is still managing Ozzy’s career, and Black Sabbath next play Jones Beach on Long Island 8/17. Pugh, meanwhile, is apparently suing Ozzy and Sharon’s daughter Kelly for defamation because Kelly accused her of elder abuse in a since-deleted tweet.
