Barbra Streisand's new album is ridiculous. It's called Encore: Movie Partners Sing Broadway, and it consists of duets with actors like Chris Pine, Alec Baldwin, Jamie Foxx, Hugh Jackman, Melissa McCarthy, and Antonio Banderas. To promote the album, Streisand went on NPR to give an equally ridiculous interview, during which she revealed that she called Apple CEO Tim Cook to correct Siri's pronunciation of her name.

In the interview, Scott Simon asked Siri "Who is the only female vocalist who has had hit records for six straight decades?" Siri replied "Barbra Streisand," except she pronounced it Barbra StreiZAND, and Streisand wasn't too happy about it. "Streisand with a soft S, like sand on the beach," she said. "I've been saying this for my whole career. And so what did I do? I called the head of Apple, Tim Cook, and he delightfully agreed to have Siri change the pronunciation of my name, finally, with the next update on September 30th...So let's see if that happens because I will be thrilled."

Fingers crossed!
