Sharon Van Etten recently contributed to the Squidbillies soundtrack and covered the Flaming Lips for the Amazon series Gortimer Gibbon's Life On Normal Street, so it comes as no great surprise that she scored her first film, Strange Weather, this year on top of those other projects, as Film Music Reporter points out. The forthcoming indie drama follows a grieving mother (played by Holly Hunter) on a trip through the Deep South, and it was written and directed by Katherine Dieckmann. Strange Weather premieres at the Toronto International Film Festival in September.
